We already know the Exponential Moving Average and the techniques of trading with it. Here we will be introduced with a modified version of traditional moving average named double exponential moving average. This indicator is developed by Patrick Mulloy to lessen the lag of traditional moving average.

As traditional moving average, double exponential moving average is also classified as trend indicator.
The trading techniques with this indicator is similar to the trading techniques with traditional moving average.

Any of the explained techniques can be used to trade with double exponential moving average.
